Mikaela Hoover praised Rachel Brosnahan’s kindness on the set of Superman, saying the star made her feel valued despite having a smaller role. The account is Hoover’s personal recollection in an interview reproduced by Filmibee and credited to Collider—not evidence of a scandal or confirmation of a negative rumor.
What did Mikaela Hoover say about Rachel Brosnahan?
Hoover said she had never met Brosnahan before the first day of filming. Brosnahan already had a strong reputation, Hoover recalled, but she said the experience of working with her mattered more than what she had heard beforehand.
“On the first day of Superman, I had never met Rachel, and she had such a glowing reputation, but you never know until you’re actually there, and Rachel set the tone for me on this movie more than any human. I will forever be grateful and have gratitude for how she treated me on that set. She lifted me up so much. She never made me feel like, ‘Oh, you’re a small role in this project, so I’m gonna act above you.’ None of that bullshit that a lot of actresses can do.”
Filmibee’s July 12, 2025 page reproduces the interview and credits Collider as its source. The quotation should be understood as Hoover’s account of her own experience, rather than independent verification of Brosnahan’s conduct or a claim about how she treats everyone.

The reproduced interview offers no allegation or evidence of wrongdoing. Its substance is favorable: Hoover says Brosnahan welcomed and supported her on set.
