Why Marilyn Manson wanted to join Sons of Anarchy
Manson said the opportunity began when series creator Kurt Sutter wanted to use his song “Worship My Wreck.” The song was not ultimately used, but Manson said the possibility of appearing on the show appealed to him for a more personal reason: his father was a fan.

“I was really interested in being on the show because my father loved it as much as I did,” Manson told interviewer Full Metal Jackie. He recalled telling his father, “Dad, I’m gonna be on the show.” Manson also described the chance as a “dream come true” because the series mattered to his father and its father-son theme connected with his own wish to make his father proud.
What he said about playing Ron Tully
When asked how much of himself he brought to Tully, Manson said it was difficult to judge the performance objectively because the role expanded beyond what he had anticipated: “it became a role that was bigger than I thought it would be.” His comments explain why the part stayed with him, but do not amount to a detailed account of his acting method or a scene-by-scene analysis.

Who Ron Tully is in season 7
Manson played Ron Tully in season 7, the final season of Sons of Anarchy. Contemporary casting coverage describes Tully as a recurring white-supremacist prison shot-caller whom Jax uses to expand his power base. That is the character’s fictional role, not a statement about Manson’s personal views. CBS News and The Guardian reported the casting and season context.
