A September 2025 report described two social media posts by Laken Snelling: a June “goals” image and July couples photographs. The images prompted speculation online, but the report did not establish that they proved a pregnancy or reveal what happened to the infant. Later, Lexington police reported the medical examiner’s findings and a grand jury indictment; a local report said Snelling pleaded guilty in August 2026.
What the September 2025 report said Snelling posted
A People report republished by AOL described two posts dated before the infant’s death. The original posts were not independently verified in the reporting reviewed here, so the details below are descriptions attributed to that article.
June 25: a “goals” overlay
The report said a TikTok post showed Snelling with a “goals” overlay listing a diamond ring, money, a family, a house, and a mother holding a baby. The post’s imagery is not, by itself, evidence of pregnancy or of any event in the case.
July 18: “#couples photography”
The report described photographs of Snelling and a young man in a field, captioned “#couples photography.” Some commenters interpreted the images as a maternity shoot; others cautioned against assuming that. These were online interpretations, not findings established by the report. It did not establish the man’s identity or involvement.

What the posts can—and cannot—tell readers
The posts are part of the public timeline because a news report described them. They do not establish that Snelling was pregnant, what she intended, or what happened to the infant. The comments about a possible maternity shoot should not be treated as evidence about the case.
The distinction matters because the September 2025 coverage reflected what was known at that point. It reported that the cause and manner of death were then unknown. Subsequent official findings changed the public case timeline, but they do not turn social media speculation into proof.

The medical examiner’s findings and indictment are reported in the Lexington Police Department case update. The plea and courtroom statement were reported by WKYT, carried by Fox 19; the quotation is attributed to Snelling as that report quotes her.

The August 21, 2026 report describes a guilty plea, not a jury verdict. The sources cited here do not establish a sentencing outcome or any later court developments. The official police update and the local plea report provide the case milestones; neither supports using the earlier posts to infer pregnancy, intent, or details beyond the reported findings and plea.
