What José Loreto said after the separation
The couple’s separation was reported as confirmed on February 16, 2019, amid rumors of infidelity. Those rumors were part of the contemporaneous coverage, not proof of an affair. Four days later, UOL reported that Loreto had posted his first public statement about the breakup on Instagram.

In the passage UOL reproduced, Loreto wrote: “Errei sim, manchei o teu nome. Débora, você tem todas as razões para estar magoada comigo.” In English: “I did make a mistake, I tarnished your name. Débora, you have every reason to be hurt by me.” He also said he had not treated her well and had crossed “fronteiras emocionais” (“emotional boundaries”), which he deeply regretted. UOL’s February 20, 2019 report does not quote him naming another person or giving a complete account of the disputed conduct.
How Débora Nascimento described her perspective
On March 10, Nascimento published an open letter on Instagram; QUEM and UOL reproduced passages. She wrote that she had “muita consciência do que vi e vivenciei” (“a strong awareness of what I saw and experienced”) and that “ninguém agiu sozinho” (“no one acted alone”). She also described feeling exposed: “Eu que sempre optei pela discrição em minha vida pública, sofri uma exposição e fui refém de uma situação que não escolhi.”

Nascimento said she had kept silent in part to avoid exposing another woman, writing: “Mantive meu silêncio justamente para não expôr mais uma mulher – exercitando minha empatia e sororidade, que é verdadeira e não oportuna.” These are her statements about her experience and her reasons for speaking cautiously; they are not independent verification of an allegation. QUEM reproduced the letter, as did UOL.
Did Loreto admit to cheating?
The quoted statement establishes that Loreto acknowledged making a mistake, hurting Nascimento, and crossing emotional boundaries. It does not, by itself, establish that he admitted to a specific affair. UOL’s March 10 coverage reported that backstage claims circulated about an alleged affair with a co-star and noted that Marina Ruy Barbosa denied involvement beyond professional work. That is rumor coverage and a denial, not proof of the allegation. UOL’s account of the letter and surrounding claims should not be read as confirming the rumor.

What Nascimento said about the question in 2023
In a 2023 appearance on the videocast Desculpa Alguma Coisa, Nascimento characterized discussion of the “Surubão de Noronha” as a “cortina de fumaça” (“smokescreen”). As summarized by SBT, she said she would not say whether infidelity had occurred. The remark is her later characterization, as reported by SBT, not an independent confirmation or resolution of the allegation. SBT’s September 20, 2023 report gives the quoted excerpt.

In an October 2019 interview, Nascimento spoke about moving through a difficult period after the split, her daughter, and her then-current relationship; Gshow reported on the interview. In November, NaTelinha reported that Loreto later described the end of the marriage as painful. That follow-up is secondary reporting, and neither account resolves the underlying allegation. NaTelinha’s report covers Loreto’s later description.
