Kimmel mocked Trump’s remarks to reporters and called his reaction a “meltdown,” a comic characterization rather than a clinical assessment.
What Kimmel said about Trump and Epstein
In a segment described in Emily Zemler’s Rolling Stone Australia recap, Kimmel said, “Every time he gets asked about Jeffrey Epstein, he loses his mind.” The monologue connected Trump’s reactions to reporters’ questions with the congressional vote on sharing the Epstein files with the public.

Kimmel also joked about the vote: “Say what you want about the Epstein files, but they’ve kind of brought the country together. We had an almost unanimous vote in Congress today.” That is Kimmel’s quoted description, not a vote tally; the recap does not state the count or establish what records were ultimately released.
The remarks and press exchanges Kimmel discussed
“Quiet, piggy” aboard Air Force One
Kimmel played a clip in which Trump addressed a female reporter aboard Air Force One as “Quiet, piggy.” He criticized the remark, saying: “If a man spoke like that to a female co-worker in a workplace harassment training video, you’d go, ‘Ah, that’s over the top. Nobody would do that.’” The comparison was Kimmel’s joke and criticism of Trump’s language.

ABC correspondent Mary Bruce at a press event
The recap says Trump rebuked ABC News White House correspondent Mary Bruce after she asked about journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder, telling her she should not “embarrass” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who was present. Bruce then asked about Epstein. According to Zemler’s account, Trump called her a “terrible reporter” and raised the possibility that the FCC chairman should look at ABC’s license.
Kimmel referred to the earlier pressure on ABC that preceded his show’s suspension. This was part of his response to the exchange, as reported by Zemler.

What the segment does—and does not—establish
The segment is commentary about Trump’s public responses and Kimmel’s interpretation of them. Zemler’s recap reports Kimmel’s remarks; it does not independently assess the Epstein records or establish what they show about Trump or anyone else. A person’s appearance in Epstein-related records, by itself, would not establish wrongdoing.
Rolling Stone Australia published Zemler’s recap on November 20, 2025, the morning after the segment aired. Its account is the basis for the quoted lines and descriptions above.
