In interviews afterward, she described a sharp change in his effort, unfulfilled promises and, later, messages she said she saw him send to other women. Those are Tran’s accounts; the reports do not independently verify the alleged messages or establish Strader’s motives. The accessible reports also do not confirm that Tran used the word “crazy,” so it should not be treated as a verified quotation.
What happened at the live finale
Tran and Strader got engaged in Hawaii while season 21 was filming in May 2024. At the live finale on September 3, Tran said Strader had ended the engagement over the phone about a month earlier. TheWrap reported that the call came the night before they were due to have a happy-couple visit, and that the finale was their first in-person meeting since that visit. TheWrap’s September 4 report recounted her explanation.
On the finale, Tran said the relationship had changed after filming. In an interview recounted by TheWrap, she described noticing a change in effort and broken promises: “It was pretty immediate that I started noticing the efforts were different and the inconsistencies and the things that he was promising me, and then not fulfilling.”
What Tran said about Strader after the breakup
In a September 4 interview with Us Weekly, Tran said Strader’s subdued demeanor at the finale was consistent with how he had acted since the breakup. She also said he had not been answering her calls. Those remarks describe Tran’s view of his conduct and presentation; they do not establish why he behaved that way. Us Weekly’s interview report covers her comments.

On Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off The Vine podcast, discussed in an Access Hollywood report published September 10, Tran said she had made excuses when Strader did not call. She also claimed she saw direct messages he sent to other women. The report presents this as Tran’s account, not independently verified evidence about the messages. Access Hollywood’s report recounts the podcast discussion.
What Maria Georgas said about the Instagram follow
During the finale, Tran raised Strader’s Instagram follow of Maria Georgas. In a September 6 ABC News report, Georgas said she had not known about the follow until other people told her and that Strader had unfollowed her by then. Georgas said she had never met Strader, had not gone clubbing with him and had nothing to do with Tran and Strader’s breakup. She also objected to women being pitted against one another.

“I can’t speak on her relationship. The only two people that can speak on her relationship are her and Devin. Those are the only two people that know truly what is going on,” Georgas said. The accessible reports cited here do not verify that Tran described Strader’s behavior as “crazy.” The word appears in the assigned headline, but without an original interview or full transcript confirming it, it should not be presented as a direct quote from her. What is supported is that Tran publicly described a post-filming shift in effort, unfulfilled promises, unanswered calls and alleged messages to other women, while Georgas denied any involvement in the breakup.
