Jase discussed Phil’s health on an April 2, 2025 episode of the family podcast. Fox News reported that Jase, his brother Al and cousin Zach Dasher spoke about Phil’s condition. Jase said the question he heard most often was, “How’s your dad doing?” He answered: “Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth. I say, ‘Not good.’” Fox News reported the remarks on April 6, 2025.

Jase also said Phil had “some professional care.” Describing the family’s approach, he said, “We’re making him comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. I think that’s just what you do.” These were family remarks on the podcast, not a clinician’s assessment.
