Her first move after Mad Men was a comedy
Jones joined Fox’s post-apocalyptic comedy The Last Man on Earth as Mad Men was concluding. In a March 2015 interview with Glamour, she said the role appealed because it was “so different” and “just lighter.” She described the series as a chance to work in another genre while still having strong writing.

Jones also said she was ready to do something different and that, if she went straight into another television show, The Last Man on Earth was the one she wanted: its cast and writing appealed to her, and she expected to laugh at work. She described that as her thinking at the time, not as a lasting judgment about Mad Men or her later choices.
A 2016 TIME retrospective also places her as Melissa on The Last Man on Earth after Mad Men. It is a historical account, rather than evidence of her present-day work.

Her later credits span television and film
After the comedy, Jones’s documented television credits include The Politician (2019) and Spinning Out (2020). She also returned to feature films in God Is a Bullet (2023). Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb list these credits; their filmographies support the dates and titles but do not establish that no later work exists.

Her broader filmography also includes Good Kill, Sweetwater, Unknown, X-Men: First Class and Unity, among other films. These titles appear in Rotten Tomatoes listings, and AMC’s older cast biography also names several of them. That biography is historical context, not a current résumé.
Good Kill connected her next film work to the end of the series
In a May 2015 Vanity Fair interview, Jones discussed Good Kill alongside the end of Mad Men. She said she had initially known little about the drone program and considered the film an important story. She also described researching the military aspects and the psychological effects of PTSD for her role. Those comments explain her preparation; they are not an independent assessment of the film’s accuracy or of military policy.
What the available record says about her work now
The most recent screen credit supported by the filmography listings cited here is God Is a Bullet (2023). No reliable, dated source among those listings confirms a later acting credit or a current project. That is a limit of the available record, not evidence that Jones has stopped acting or is inactive.
Recognition for Mad Men
The Television Academy records one Primetime Emmy nomination for Jones: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2010 for playing Betty Draper in Mad Men. AMC’s biography also records a 2009 Golden Globe nomination for the role. Both were nominations, not wins.
