In a declaration filed April 1, 2026, Janel Grant said Vince McMahon told her he had disclosed the sexual nature of their relationship to WWE executives Nick Khan and Brad Blum in March 2021. Grant also recounted what McMahon allegedly told her about former WWE general counsel Brian Nurse. These are Grant’s sworn account and allegations—not findings by a court or independent statements from the executives she named.

What was the April 1 filing?
Grant’s declaration was submitted in her federal civil case against WWE and McMahon in support of her opposition to motions seeking to compel arbitration. At the beginning of the declaration, Grant says that, unless otherwise stated, she has personal knowledge of the matters described and could testify to them. That explains the basis she gives for her account; it does not independently verify every allegation.
The case is Grant v. World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. et al., No. 3:24-cv-00090-SFR, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. A 2025 court decision recounts that Grant filed suit in January 2024 and discusses procedural history and leave to amend. It is not a ruling that the disputed allegations are true.

What did Grant say McMahon told her about Nick Khan and Brad Blum?
Grant’s declaration says McMahon told her that, in March 2021, he had spoken privately with WWE executives Khan and Blum and disclosed the sexual nature of his relationship with her. Grant says McMahon told her the executives raised concerns, and that he reassured them about her loyalty and character.
“Vince then informed me that he had spoken privately with Nick Khan and Brad Blum during which he formally disclosed the sexual nature of his relationship with me.”

This is Grant quoting what she says McMahon told her. It is not a direct statement from Khan or Blum, and the passage does not establish independently what either executive knew, said, or did.
What did the declaration say about Brian Nurse?
Grant says McMahon told her that former WWE general counsel Nurse had raised concerns about the relationship and that the matter was “handled.” Grant says she understood “handled” to mean Nurse had been terminated. The declaration’s account of what McMahon allegedly said and Grant’s interpretation of that phrase are distinct; the passage does not itself establish the circumstances of Nurse’s departure.

What other allegations did Grant include?
The declaration also recounts Grant’s allegations of sexual abuse and coercion, a suicide attempt, and further alleged encounters or communications involving John Laurinaitis and Brock Lesnar. These remain allegations attributed to Grant’s filing, not established findings. The details most relevant to the filing’s news significance are what Grant says McMahon told her about executive awareness and the handling of concerns; the declaration should not be read as proof that the named people independently confirmed her account.

Grant’s April declaration opposed motions to compel arbitration; it did not resolve whether the dispute would be decided in court or through arbitration. A later filing dated June 11, 2026, was a joint motion by the parties to adjourn a hearing scheduled for June 16. The motion said they were discussing a possible confidential arbitration agreement and proposed filing a joint status report within 21 days.

The June motion establishes what the parties reported to the court on that date, not whether they ultimately reached an agreement or what happened afterward.
