What Jane said happened during the “hotel nights”
In Associated Press reporting on her June 2025 testimony, Jane described sexual encounters involving Combs and male sex workers. She said the encounters could continue for long stretches, that she sometimes used drugs, and that Combs ignored cues when she wanted them to stop. She also described distress and health effects, and testified that she sometimes felt obligated to comply, in part because Combs paid her rent. Her estimates of how long they lasted

Words reported from court
AP reported that Jane said, “I’m not an animal. I need a break.” The report also described an unsent message she read in court in which she objected to being asked to use drugs for days and to being used to fulfill Combs’s desires. Why the term “freak-offs” needs context
Jane called the encounters she described “hotel nights.” Trial coverage also used “freak-offs” for encounters described by another witness, Cassie Ventura. Keeping the terms attached to the witnesses who used or were associated with them avoids implying that every account described the same events. What the jury decided
On July 2, 2025, the jury acquitted Combs of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges and convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, according to the Associated Press. The verdict should be kept distinct from Jane’s testimony: the convictions do not establish every allegation she described, and the acquittals do not establish that she lied.
