“Venom 2” is the common shorthand for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Sony’s 2021 superhero film. Sony lists it for digital viewing, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, but those formats do not establish that a particular store or streaming service currently offers it in every country.
What is Venom 2 called?
The official title is Venom: Let There Be Carnage; “Venom 2” is an informal shorthand. Sony credits Andy Serkis as director, Kelly Marcel as screenwriter, and Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel with the story. The cast includes Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham and Woody Harrelson, who plays Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Sony’s official film page describes the premise: journalist Eddie Brock interviews convicted murderer Cletus Kasady, who discovers Eddie’s secret and becomes host to Carnage; Eddie and Venom must overcome their contentious relationship to face him.
Where can I watch Venom 2?
Sony’s film page lists the movie as available on digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. That is evidence of home-viewing formats, not a guarantee of current stock, pricing, or access through a subscription service in your location. Check the digital storefronts and streaming catalogs available in your country for current listings.
A Prime Video listing surfaced in a Spanish-language storefront, where it gives a runtime of 1 hour 31 minutes. That localized listing is not proof that the film is currently included with Prime Video or available to stream elsewhere worldwide. Sony Pictures Japan announced digital distribution in Japan beginning February 18, 2022; that date applies to the Japanese release, not all markets. Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan’s announcement also gives Japan’s Blu-ray/DVD release date as April 8, 2022.

Is Venom 2 available on Blu-ray or 4K?
Yes. Sony lists both Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD, as well as digital, on its film page. Which edition makes sense depends on your equipment and whether you prefer a physical disc or a digital listing.
| Format | What to consider |
|---|---|
| Digital | Sony lists digital availability. The storefront, purchase or rental options, and regional access can vary; check the listing in your country. |
| Blu-ray | Sony lists Blu-ray. Confirm the retailer’s current stock and the disc’s regional compatibility before buying. |
| 4K Ultra HD | Sony lists 4K Ultra HD. Sony says 4K HDR playback requires a 4K HDR TV, an Ultra HD Blu-ray player and high-speed HDMI 2.0A cables. |
Sony’s page includes retailer links, including Amazon, but does not establish current inventory, price or exact packaging. Japan’s 2022 announcement includes DVD, but that does not establish present DVD availability in other markets.
