Forbes’ 2025 estimates are reported in its highest-paid musicians coverage. AP reported the tour total using Live Nation data in its coverage of the billion-dollar milestone.
Why the $298 million earnings estimate is not net worth
Earnings describe money generated over a period; net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities at a point in time. Forbes’ $298 million figure is an estimate of The Weeknd’s 2025 earnings, not a public accounting of what he owns, owes, has paid in taxes, or retains after expenses and other obligations.

What the Lyric Capital catalog arrangement does—and does not—mean
Forbes reports that its estimate of $200 million after fees relates to a Lyric Capital arrangement involving master recordings from six albums. The arrangement is not described as a straightforward outright sale: Tesfaye retains a stake in those masters and creative control over their use, while future recordings are excluded. Forbes also says most of the arrangement consists of debt that could convert to equity.
Those terms matter when interpreting the figure. It is Forbes’ estimate of proceeds after fees, not evidence that Tesfaye sold every right outright or received a simple cash payment equal to a reported headline transaction value.

What the tour’s billion-dollar gross tells us
AP reported that Live Nation put the After Hours ‘Til Dawn Tour at $1.004 billion in gross receipts, based on approximately 7.55 million tickets across 153 dates. The underlying data covered March 4, 2022, through November 14, 2025; the tour was scheduled to conclude September 6, 2026. The figure is a cumulative tour gross, not profit or an estimate of Tesfaye’s personal take-home income.
AP quoted Live Nation president of touring Omar Al-joulani saying, “Crossing the billion-dollar mark is a testament to his staying power and the incredible demand for his live show.” That comment addresses the tour’s milestone, not the singer’s personal wealth.

So, how much is The Weeknd worth?
The most accurate answer is that a verified current net-worth figure is not established by the public reporting cited here. Forbes’ 2025 earnings and catalog estimates, and Live Nation’s tour gross reported by AP, provide useful context about his commercial success, but they cannot be combined into a reliable net-worth total without a documented account of personal assets, liabilities and other financial details.
