What does Marvin Ducksch’s back tattoo show?
The tattoo shows Pennywise, the clown character from Stephen King’s It. The words beneath the image read “Time to float.” The design was reported shortly before Ducksch left Werder Bremen for Birmingham City.
How long did the tattoo take?
Marvinci Tattoo, the Bremen studio that worked on the piece, said the large back project took five sessions and nearly nine hours of tattooing. Those figures are the studio’s account, quoted in t-online’s report published on 8 August 2025.
Was the tattoo connected to his Birmingham City move?
The tattoo was completed before Ducksch moved to Birmingham City, but the timing does not establish that the transfer inspired it. BBC Sport reported on 7 August 2025 that Birmingham signed the German forward from Werder Bremen on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
