WWE describes it as a move in which Rollins leaps toward a fallen opponent and brings the heel of his boot toward the top of the opponent’s head as they come down to the canvas. WWE has also called it “Blackout” and, in later coverage and Rollins’ current profile, “Stomp.”
What is Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp?
WWE’s 2014 move-set feature describes the Curb Stomp as a leap toward a downed opponent, with the heel of Rollins’ boot directed at the top of the opponent’s head as both come down to the canvas. That is WWE’s description of a performed wrestling maneuver, not instructions or safety guidance for attempting it.
The move is presented in professional wrestling as part of a match’s dramatic storytelling: a signature attack that can signal a decisive turn or finish. WWE’s historical feature quotes performer John Cena saying of signature maneuvers, “It lets you know that either the match has been taken to a different level, or the match is over.”
Why is it also called Blackout or the Stomp?
WWE’s July 2014 feature says the Curb Stomp was formerly known as “Blackout.” WWE coverage of WrestleMania 34 in April 2018 calls it a “Stomp,” and Rollins’ current WWE profile lists “Stomp” among his signature moves.

No. WWE’s match coverage and descriptions document professional wrestling performance and storytelling; they are not safety advice, training guidance, or evidence that the maneuver can be attempted safely outside a properly managed performance. Do not try to perform it on another person.
