John Ritter’s wife, Amy Yasbeck, continues to lead public efforts to raise awareness of aortic disease through the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, which she established after his death. Most recently, in September 2026, she reunited with former Wings castmates at the foundation’s annual Evening from the Heart LA benefit.
What Amy Yasbeck is doing now
Yasbeck’s most clearly documented ongoing public work is with the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. The foundation says its mission is to advance awareness of thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection through research, education, and advocacy. It supports the John Ritter Research Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, directed by Dr. Dianna Milewicz. On the foundation’s About Us page, Yasbeck writes: “Since losing John, I’ve devoted myself to shining a much-needed light on thoracic aortic disease.” The organization says more than 1,500 families have enrolled in the John Ritter Research Program. It describes the program’s aims as identifying risk factors, collecting symptom data, and improving clinical care and quality of life. Those figures and aims are reported by the foundation; the page does not state a publication date.
Her recent public appearances
In September 2026, Yasbeck reunited with former Wings castmates Tim Daly, Steven Weber, and Tony Shalhoub at the foundation’s Evening from the Heart LA benefit. TV Insider reported on the reunion on October 4, 2026. The report describes the appearance as part of the event, which raises support for the foundation.

The event fits a longer pattern of public involvement in the organization. At the foundation’s Los Angeles benefit in 2025, the program included a staged reading of a Three’s Company episode. TV Insider covered that event on September 19, 2025. That account is useful background, but the September 2026 benefit is the more recent appearance.
What the foundation reported in 2025
The John Ritter Foundation’s 2025 annual report describes continuing patient education, research support, and outreach. It also says the organization launched an updated Ritter Rules guide in 2025. The foundation says the guide was endorsed by its Professional Advisory Board, aligned with the 2022 AHA/ACC Guidelines, and made available in print and digital formats.
