Public reporting last placed Burke Ramsey in Michigan, working in technology, in 2024. Those details have not been independently confirmed as current in 2026. He has generally stayed out of public view, and reliable public information about his day-to-day life is limited. The reviewed reporting focuses on Burke; it does not establish a current update about another brother.
What is known about Burke Ramsey’s life now?
For a snapshot of Burke’s reported life, the clearest details come from 2024 coverage—not a fresh confirmation of where he lives or works today. Forbes reported in November 2024 that he was living in Michigan and working in technology management, citing public records obtained by Today.com. Us Weekly reported in December 2024 that he was a software engineer in Michigan, citing an unnamed family source. These are attributed reports, not independent confirmation of his current residence, job, employer, or routine. Forbes; Us Weekly
The available sources do not establish his current relationships, finances, exact employer, or private circumstances. More specific claims about his present-day life would go beyond what the cited reporting supports.
Why has Burke stayed out of public view?
Burke has described himself as private after growing up under intense media attention. In a 2016 interview, he explained his decision to speak publicly this way: “For the last 20 years, I wanted to grow up like a normal kid, which does not include going in front of TV cameras.” ABC News reported that he said the coverage made his family’s life chaotic and “made me a very private person.” ABC News

No. Investigation updates concern the homicide case and do not verify Burke’s current activities. JonBenét was six when she was found dead in her family’s Boulder, Colorado, home in December 1996. The Associated Press reported in 2024 that no one had been prosecuted. It also reported that former district attorney Mary Lacy cleared the Ramseys in 2008 based on DNA evidence pointing to an “unexplained third party”; that was not a court verdict or a finding that the homicide had been solved. Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said, “My direction to our department has been clear: leave no stone unturned.” Axios reported that no one had been formally charged at that time. This update describes investigative work, not Burke’s whereabouts or occupation. Axios
