Since meeting on Love Island in 2017, Dom Lever and Jess Shears have married and had two sons. Later reports also document Dom joining a fire and rescue service in 2022, while the BBC has featured both of them as ambassadors for its Tiny Happy People parenting resource. Those are dated milestones—not confirmation of their current jobs or roles.
How Dom Lever and Jess Shears met on Love Island
Lever and Shears met as contestants on the third season of ITV’s Love Island in 2017. ITV’s profile says Shears entered the villa and was paired with Lever for two weeks before she was voted off; Lever stayed in the villa longer. At the time, ITV described Shears as a glamour model from Devon and Lever as a former careers adviser. ITV’s profile records that background as part of their time on the show, not as a description of their present-day work.

They continued their relationship and married in 2018
Their relationship continued after the series. The Independent reports that they married in October 2018 in Mykonos; its account also mentions an earlier wedding event streamed on Good Morning Britain. Nine likewise describes their Mykonos wedding. The Independent’s couples update and Nine’s family report document the marriage.
They have two sons
Nine reports that the couple’s first son, Presley, was born in 2019 and that their second son was born in June 2022. In the June 2022 report, Nine said the younger child’s name had not been revealed at that time. The Independent also reports that the couple have two sons.

- In May 2007 Lionel Richie and a film crew convened in Paris, France, to document a show by the legendary singer at the Bercy Arena. The event was a chance for Richie to run through his incredible selection of hit songs, including "Hello," "Stuck on You," and "Dancing on the Ceiling." This document of the Paris show is part of PBS's Great Performances series. Format:
Dom’s reported move into firefighting
In a report dated 15 October 2022, Evoke said Lever had joined Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, citing a welcome announcement from Newton Abbot fire station. That report establishes a career move at the time; it does not confirm whether he still works for the service. Evoke’s October 2022 report gives the date and source of the announcement.
Their BBC Tiny Happy People ambassador role
A BBC Tiny Happy People profile lists Shears and Lever as ambassadors and describes them using the resource’s ideas for singing, playing and talking with their child. The profile documents their involvement when it was published, but does not establish that the role continues today. It presents Tiny Happy People as parenting content, not as either person’s employment.

What is—and is not—known about their lives now
The available reports chart their relationship, family and several public-facing roles, but they do not verify the couple’s current relationship status, home location, or present occupations as of 8 October 2026. In particular, the 2022 fire-service report should not be treated as proof of Lever’s current employment, and ITV’s earlier descriptions do not establish Shears’s current occupation.
