Palm Royale season two began with Maxine Dellacorte disgraced and fighting to regain a place in Palm Beach society. Apple’s pre-release preview promised hidden truths, lies and crimes; the ten-episode season has since aired, and the series ended after two seasons, according to TheWrap’s March 2, 2026 report.
What Apple previewed for season two
In its August 19, 2025 announcement, Apple described Kristen Wiig’s Maxine as a social pariah after a public breakdown. The official setup had her relying on “cleverness and cunning” to prove she belonged in Palm Beach high society—and perhaps could rule it. As she tried to reclaim status, Apple said, she would uncover “untold truths” and discover that Palm Beach was built on “secrets, lies and the occasional felony.” These were promotional story details, not a scene-by-scene account of the season.

Apple framed the series’ larger ambition with the question: “How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?” Its official description centers on an outsider seeking a place in Palm Beach high society. The Associated Press describes the story as set in 1969, with Maxine aspiring to join the exclusive Palm Royale club.
What happens to Maxine and the other characters by the finale?
TheWrap reported on March 2, 2026, citing sources with direct knowledge, that Palm Royale had ended after its second season. Its account of the finale says Maxine and Robert marry, resolving their relationship, and the Dellacorte trust is addressed. Maxine and Evelyn reopen the Palm Royale, while Linda and Norma reunite in Paris. These are TheWrap’s reported finale details, rather than details in Apple’s season-two preview.

When did season two air, and how many episodes are there?
Apple TV Press announced that season two premiered globally on November 12, 2025, and released its ten episodes weekly through January 14, 2026. The season is therefore complete; the original question of what might happen is no longer an open prediction.

Apple lists Kristen Wiig and Ricky Martin among the cast; Wiig is also an executive producer. The series is from Apple Studios and was written, executive produced and showrun by Abe Sylvia. Ricky Martin is part of the ensemble, but Apple’s announcement does not establish a particular season-two plot outcome for his character.
Apple reported that season one received 11 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, lead actress in a comedy series for Wiig, and supporting actress in a comedy series for Carol Burnett. It also won Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.
What is Palm Royale based on?
The Associated Press reports that the series is based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie. The novel is the source material, not a guaranteed replica of the television plot. Readers interested in the story’s origins can look for the novel behind Palm Royale.
