How does Solo Leveling Season 2 end?
The finale resolves the Fourth Jeju Island raid as a victory for the hunters, though the win comes at a cost. The Japanese official synopsis says the Elixir of Life does not work on Shizuku, who is critically ill, and that Jinwoo thinks of another way to help her. English-language coverage calls this character Cha Hae-In; Shizuku is the name used in the Japanese synopsis.

What is the cliffhanger in the Solo Leveling Season 2 finale?
The precise visual detail comes from a secondary recap: Jinwoo enters a B-Rank Gate, which transforms into a Red Gate. The official synopsis confirms that he heads into a new battle, but does not specify this transformation. The Gate’s change signals that the next hunt is more dangerous than its initial rank suggests, leaving Jinwoo facing a fresh threat just after the Jeju victory.

“Shocking” is a matter of taste, not an objective description. The cliffhanger’s effect comes from the sharp turn from the raid’s outcome and Cha Hae-In’s medical crisis to an apparently routine hunt becoming something more perilous.
Which episode is the Season 2 finale, and when did it air?
Season 2 ends with episode 25, “On to the Next Target.” The dates reported for it refer to different things:

Crunchyroll describes the anime as based on the Korean webtoon credited to DUBU (REDICE Studio), Chugong, and h-goon. That identifies the source behind the adaptation; it does not mean the anime’s ending explains what happens later in the webtoon. The finale’s confirmed anime synopsis only says Jinwoo heads into another battle, while the specific B-Rank-to-Red-Gate image is reported by a secondary recap.
