Dakota Johnson worried that her neckline and the camera angle could cause a wardrobe mishap during her June 2, 2025, appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fallon offered her a tissue; she tucked it into her neckline briefly, then handed it back. Accounts of the moment describe a possible or avoided mishap, not an actual exposure.
What happened on The Tonight Show?
Johnson appeared on the Monday, June 2, 2025, episode while promoting Materialists. According to TheWrap, the moment began near the start of her appearance, as she sat down and became concerned about her outfit’s neckline and the camera angle. She called it “the wrong outfit,” and Fallon joked that she should not move.
Johnson asked Fallon to let her know if there was a problem and wondered whether anyone had a blanket. Instead, he offered a tissue. Johnson placed it into her neckline, joked that no one would know the difference, and then returned it to him. Fallon joked that he would put it on eBay.

Was there an actual nip slip?
The reporting describes Johnson’s concern about a possible wardrobe malfunction and her improvised use of the tissue. It does not report that an exposure occurred. The attention-grabbing “nip slip” framing should therefore be understood as referring to a narrowly avoided or potential mishap, not a confirmed one.
