Ellie Darcey-Alden played young Lily Potter, and Benedict Clarke played young Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Both have screen credits after the 2011 film, though the public record offers a clearer list of later work for Darcey-Alden than it does a picture of Clarke’s current activities.
Ellie Darcey-Alden: young Lily Potter
Darcey-Alden portrayed Lily as a child in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final film in the series, released in 2011. Lily is also sometimes called Lily Evans, her name before marrying James Potter. Rotten Tomatoes’ film listing identifies the film, while her Rotten Tomatoes filmography records later screen work.
Later screen credits
- Pool Boy Nightmare (2020)
- Children of the Cloth (2023)
These are examples of her later credits, not necessarily a complete filmography. Apple TV also lists Darcey-Alden as Francesca “Franny” Latimer in “The Snowmen,” the Doctor Who Series 7 Christmas special. Apple TV’s profile and listing document that television credit.
Benedict Clarke: young Severus Snape
Clarke played young Severus Snape in the same 2011 film. Later screen credits associated with him in public filmography listings include In the Wake of Sirens (2012), Murder in Provence (2022), and Ouija Castle (2024). His IMDb filmography and Rotten Tomatoes filmography provide examples of those listings.

Those entries show that some later screen work is publicly listed; they do not establish that the filmography is complete, that Clarke acted continuously, or what he does now. Limited search visibility is not evidence that he retired, left acting, or disappeared from public life.

The available listings support a straightforward update: Darcey-Alden has several identifiable later screen credits, including film and television work, while Clarke has a smaller set of later credits visible in the cited filmography listings. The difference in what is easy to find should not be treated as a ranking of success or as proof of either actor’s personal choices. Neither set of listings provides a complete accounting of current work or occupation.
