The original Below Deck Mediterranean crew took different paths after Season 1: several continued working on yachts, while others pursued business, family life or television. Bravo’s direct cast updates describe what some crew members were doing in 2016; later developments are reported in a 2025 retrospective, so those updates should not be mistaken for a live account of everyone’s current work.

What happened to the Season 1 crew?

Bravo published a post-season cast update on July 26, 2016. The crew’s comments below are a snapshot from that time, not a description of their lives today. A 2025 retrospective adds later updates, but it is a secondary source and some of its claims rely on social-media material.

Crew member What they said or were doing after Season 1 Later update reported in 2025
Captain Mark Howard In Bravo’s 2016 interview, Mark said he was working on another Mediterranean yacht, a private vessel that did not charter. He said it was about the same size as the Ionian Princess, and that he stayed in touch with several castmates. The 2025 retrospective reports that Mark died in 2021. His 2016 comments describe his work at that earlier time. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Hannah Ferrier Hannah said she went home to Australia, traveled in Thailand, helped on a friend’s charter yacht and later helped set up a yacht in Barcelona. The retrospective says she remained chief stew for five seasons and left during Season 5. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Ben Robinson Mark said he stayed in touch with Ben; Bravo’s retrieved interview does not include a separate post-season account from Ben. The roundup says Ben returned for a short stint in Season 4 and was making cooking tutorials in Florida when it was published. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Bobby Giancola Bobby said he was returning to his fire-department shifts, had a yacht job waiting in Fort Lauderdale and continued safety work around powerboat and Jet Ski racing. The retrospective reports that he later became a yacht broker. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Julia d’Albert Pusey Julia discussed plans for a fashion collection and her Myrtle & Maude business. The retrospective says she later founded the brand and lived in the UK with her family. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Tiffany Copeland Tiffany said she had taken a captain’s-license course and obtained a mate job on a private boat. The roundup reports that she later married Evan Jones, had a daughter and lived on a Virginia farm while working as a property manager. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Jen Riservato Jen said she returned to Maryland and was doing estate and pool management. The retrospective reports that she married Paige Nielsen and describes her social-media bio as “New Yorker in Houston.” The sources do not establish her current occupation. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Danny Zureikat Danny said he was fired, explored Greece, returned to yachting for a Caribbean season and was freelancing as a deckhand and engineer in Fort Lauderdale. He also hoped to pursue TV and film opportunities. The roundup describes him as pursuing acting auditions and crypto investing based on social-media material; that does not independently establish his employment. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.
Bryan Kattenburg Bravo’s retrieved interview does not provide a standalone post-season account from Bryan. Mark and Bobby said they stayed in touch with him; Jen criticized his behavior during the season. The retrospective reports that Bryan later married and became a father, but the consulted sources do not establish his current occupation. Source: Bravo, July 26, 2016; Reality Tea, June 2025.

Captain Mark: what to know about the timeline

Mark’s Bravo interview was published in 2016, when he said he was working on another private yacht in the Mediterranean. A later retrospective reports that he died in 2021. These are separate points in time; the 2016 interview is not a report on his later life.
