PerthNow reported that the venue advertised an unexpected opening for that date, but the couple had not announced why the wedding booking was cancelled.
What happened to Danika Mason’s wedding venue booking?
In a report published on 28 September 2023, PerthNow said Mason, a Channel 9 sports presenter, and Liubinskas had planned to marry at Greystone Estate in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley on 27 October 2023. The report connected the couple’s booking to the venue opening through sources; it did not cite a public statement from Mason or Liubinskas confirming the details. PerthNow’s contemporaneous account reported that a venue spokesperson confirmed an unexpected cancellation.
The venue then advertised the date as available. PerthNow quoted wording from the venue’s social post: “A rare opportunity has become available for a chance to have your wedding at Greystone Estate — with 50 per cent off!” The post had been deleted by the time of the report, so the offer is a historical, date-specific promotion—not an available deal today. Why did Danika Mason cancel her wedding?
The contemporaneous PerthNow report said the couple had not announced a reason. It did not establish whether the cancellation was initiated by the couple or explain the circumstances, so claims about their private reasons would be speculation.

What is known about Greystone Estate now?
A View report dated 28 April 2025 said Greystone Estate, at 617 Hermitage Road in Pokolbin, was listed for sale. The report said future bookings were included and that the expected new owner would continue operating the property as a wedding venue. That was coverage of a listing and anticipated plans; it does not confirm that a sale was completed or establish the venue’s present ownership, operator, or booking status. View’s 2025 report
