A Game Rant headline published October 20, 2025, identified the occasion as the manga’s return with chapter 1163. That date-specific claim is attributable to Game Rant; it was not independently confirmed here against a Shueisha or VIZ release calendar.
What was scheduled for October 26?
The linked Game Rant story identifies the news as the return of the One Piece manga with chapter 1163 on October 26, 2025. The original story could not be retrieved, so the chapter and date are supported by the headline listing and its URL rather than by inspection of the full article. No primary publisher schedule was available to verify the release date independently.

Because that date has passed, the headline should be read as a piece of 2025 manga news—not as an announcement about an upcoming October 26 release.
Was this the same as ONE PIECE DAY’26?
No. ONE PIECE DAY’26 was a separate official franchise event held August 22–23, 2026, at Makuhari Messe. The event included manga, anime, and other franchise exhibits, along with the final results of the second worldwide character popularity poll. The official event site describes ONE PIECE DAY as an annual celebration of the manga’s serialization date.
#1 Best Overall
So the two dates point to different things: October 26, 2025, was the date named in secondary manga-release coverage, while ONE PIECE DAY’26 took place in August 2026.

If you want to read or collect the series, look for One Piece manga volumes and check the edition’s contents before buying. The available information does not establish which collected volume contains chapter 1163, so a volume number should not be inferred from the headline.
