What happened between Kelly Osbourne and Christina Aguilera?
The best-documented part of the feud is a sequence of public remarks and media reports, not a complete account of the women’s private relationship. A January 2003 report traced the dispute’s public start to Osbourne ridiculing Aguilera’s Christmas CD on The Osbournes. Osbourne reportedly said listening to it made her want to “bleeping stab” herself. The report then described further disparaging comments in print interviews. Blabbermouth.net’s January 17, 2003 report also recounted Aguilera’s response to Access Hollywood.

At the American Music Awards, Aguilera was quoted as saying: “Personally I think she has a crush on me, because she seems so obsessed with talking about me.” The line was a pointed retort to Osbourne’s remarks, not evidence of a romantic relationship. The account comes through a secondary report reproducing the interview, rather than an official verbatim transcript.

The Christmas-CD jab and Aguilera’s answer
The January 2003 account identifies Osbourne’s joke about Aguilera’s Christmas CD as the public spark, but it does not establish every cause or private interaction behind the dispute. Aguilera also described an alleged club confrontation. As reported, she said she tried to confront Osbourne, who backed away and said the comments were her mother’s rather than her own. More insults in 2003
The exchange extended beyond the television joke. An archived NME interview dated February 1, 2003 contains more insulting comments by Osbourne about Aguilera. The historical interview shows the public dispute continued in print; the remarks are personal attacks, not useful descriptions of Aguilera. The archived NME interview scan preserves that contemporary coverage.
A later flare-up on Fashion Police
In August 2011, Inside Edition reported that Osbourne criticized Aguilera’s appearance on Fashion Police and quoted further remarks. This indicates a later public recurrence, though the report is not a full transcript of the episode. Inside Edition’s report documents that episode of the feud.

Did Kelly Osbourne and Christina Aguilera make up?
According to Osbourne’s 2023 recollection, they did. In an interview with her mother, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly said the feud was widely discussed when she was about 16 and that media coverage pitted the two against each other for years. She said both came to think they disliked each other, then recalled sitting together at a Christian Dior fashion show and discovering they got along: “It was a lovely experience.” Just Jared’s September 8, 2023 recap attributes the account to Kelly’s interview with E! News.
That explanation of the role of media coverage is Osbourne’s own account, not an independently established cause. The recap does not give the Dior show’s date or include Aguilera’s separate account of the meeting, so the precise timing and both women’s perspectives are not established by these reports.
