Gal Gadot said she was diagnosed with a massive blood clot in her brain in February 2024, during the eighth month of her fourth pregnancy. She described weeks of severe headaches, an MRI, and emergency surgery; she later said she was fully healed. The details below reflect her public account and contemporaneous reporting, not independently reviewed medical records.
What Gal Gadot said happened
In a public statement reported by Channel NewsAsia, Gadot said: “In February, during my eighth month of pregnancy, I was diagnosed with a massive blood clot in my brain.” She described weeks of severe headaches before an MRI led to the diagnosis. Later interview coverage reported that her mother urged her to seek further evaluation after the headaches persisted; that detail comes from the interview reporting, rather than an independently verified clinical record.
Gadot said she and her family rushed to the hospital and that she underwent emergency surgery within hours. The Los Angeles Times also reported the emergency surgery, but the coverage does not establish which specific operation she had. Channel NewsAsia’s report and the Los Angeles Times account both describe the event through her public disclosure.
What is known about her recovery
Gadot later said, “Today, I am fully healed and filled with gratitude for the life I’ve been given back.” That is her description of her recovery at the time she made the statement; it is not an independent, current medical assessment.

What the public reporting does not establish
The sources reviewed do not identify the clot’s exact clinical subtype or specify the procedure performed. “Blood clot in her brain” is the description in Gadot’s public account; it should not be expanded into a more specific diagnosis without supporting evidence.
Pregnancy can be relevant to blood-clot risk generally, but general medical information cannot explain the cause of Gadot’s particular clot. The CDC’s general information about blood clots and pregnancy does not verify her diagnosis or establish why it occurred.

Anyone worried about symptoms or blood-clot risk should seek evaluation from a qualified medical professional rather than compare their situation with a celebrity’s experience.
