Jayne said she met McPhee at a Heidi Montag show, where he was working in security. She recognized him from podcasts she had listened to and approached him to introduce herself, according to a People report syndicated by AOL about the podcast episode.

What Jayne said about their dates
Jayne said she and McPhee had gone out twice before a manicure-pedicure outing. “I met someone and we went out on two dates, and then we went to get a manicure-pedicure,” she said on the July 30 episode. The report says they spent more time together after those initial dates.
She spoke warmly about him, saying, “Like, I feel comfortable holding this person’s hand, and he’s a nice man.” Jayne also said she had not been seen with anyone “in five years”; that was her own description of her dating life, not independently verified history.

Why she objected to the photographs becoming public
After Jayne and McPhee were photographed holding hands in Los Angeles, she said the attention disrupted a private experience. “What was a nice, private moment and a nice, private thing I was having for myself was ruined,” she said. Her remarks describe how she felt about the publicity, rather than establishing a formal commitment or the couple’s longer-term plans.

The July 2025 podcast comments establish what Jayne said at that time; they do not establish whether she and McPhee are together now. Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills news index later included relationship coverage and cast reactions, showing that the story became part of the show’s coverage but not confirming the couple’s present status.
