Eminem mentions Candace Owens on “Lucifer,” track 7 of his July 2024 album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). In the passage, he taunts Owens over her political alignment and public image, including the widely quoted phrase “forgot she was Black.” Those are Eminem’s provocative judgments in a song, not established facts about Owens.
Which Eminem song mentions Candace Owens?
The passage appears on “Lucifer,” the seventh track on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). The album’s official track list places “Bad One” at track 16; it is not the song containing the Owens passage. Eminem’s official album page identifies the record and its track order.
What did Eminem say about Candace Owens?
In “Lucifer,” Eminem directs a taunt at Owens that includes the phrase “forgot she was Black.” Shazam’s lyrics transcription includes the passage, and The Source’s July 13, 2024 report also attributes it to the track. Lyric transcriptions can differ in punctuation or spelling across platforms, so the phrase is best understood as an excerpt rather than a verified interview quotation.
The line is part of a deliberately provocative performance. It presents Eminem’s attack on Owens’ political alignment and public image; it should not be read as evidence that the accusations or judgments in the lyric are true. The available reporting does not establish a full-sentence statement from either Eminem or Owens about this exchange outside the song.

When was the album released?
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is a 2024 album, not a newly released record. Eminem’s official album page gives July 12, 2024 as its date, while his official announcement, published July 11, described it as his 12th studio album and said it was out. Because those pages use different dates in the release announcement and album listing, “July 2024” is the clearest date when an exact day is unnecessary.
