What Victoria Beckham’s wedding dress looked like
Vogue’s contemporaneous report described the dress as a sleek slip with a metallic finish that looked almost liquid. The fabric was developed exclusively by one of Beckham’s preferred mills in Como, Italy, then embroidered with three French laces cut by hand. Design director Lara Barrio helped Beckham refine the piece.
Vogue described the fabric as inspired by “the reflection of moonlight on the ocean at night.” That is the magazine’s description of the design inspiration, not a direct quotation from Beckham.
The look’s style references
The dress combined the glamour of 1940s Hollywood with the boldness of the 1970s club scene. Vogue characterized the result as Studio 54-inspired—a reference to the gown’s eveningwear mood, rather than a claim that it copied a specific vintage dress.

Did she wear another dress?
Vogue also reported a second look: a black pre-fall dress. The article said at the time that it would be available through Beckham’s website in June 2022. That was a prospective statement made in 2022; it does not establish whether the dress is available now.
Can you buy the wedding dress?
Vogue described Beckham’s metallic slip as bespoke, so it was made specifically for her rather than identified as a standard retail item. A metallic satin slip dress could offer a similar silhouette and finish, but it would be an inspired-by alternative, not the original gown or a confirmed replica. Current availability of the black pre-fall dress is likewise unconfirmed.
