Constance Hall said she found an unidentified piece of material while stripping meat from a Red Rooster chicken. A PerthNow report published on 6 June 2024 described it as resembling an organ, but did not verify what it was.

PerthNow reported that Hall shared an Instagram video after finding the material in a chicken she said she had ordered the night before. In the post, Hall wrote: “Something really, really bad happened last night and I can’t stop thinking about it.” She described stripping the chicken and finding the object in it.
The report does not independently identify the material. Its description is that it resembled an organ; that is an account of its appearance, not a confirmed identification.
Was it a kidney?
Some commenters reportedly suggested the material was a kidney or other internal tissue. Those were guesses in reader comments, not a finding confirmed by Hall, Red Rooster, a laboratory, or an authority in the report. The available account therefore does not establish what the object was.

Did Red Rooster respond?
PerthNow said it had contacted Red Rooster and Hall for comment, but published no response from either. The report contains no later company statement or official finding, so it does not establish how Red Rooster addressed the incident.
What the report does—and does not—establish
The account concerns one chicken and one reported discovery. It provides no regulator finding, laboratory identification, or evidence that the material posed a health risk. It also does not show that this was a wider product issue or that such a find is common. Hall’s comment blaming her choice of non-free-range chicken was her own characterization; the report offers no evidence tying that choice to the find.
