Why did the post receive criticism?
Some users objected to Pratt centering his message on Kirk, while others questioned whether public concern about gun violence was being expressed selectively. The criticism was not uniform, and the examples reported do not establish how common either view was. Hindustan Times coverage documented some of these reactions.
How did others respond?
Other users defended Pratt’s decision to pray and praised him for speaking publicly. Those supportive comments, like the critical ones, are illustrative social-media responses rather than polling or evidence of a majority position. Hindustan Times reported the mixed reactions.
