The poster did not initially specify the project’s format, but official announcements later described a 224-page hardcover photobook planned with V’s involvement, followed by a separate, more compact 152-page Magazine ver.
What did V’s “TYPE 1” poster announce?
When the poster appeared in June 2024, it introduced the name “TYPE 1” without identifying the project format. Soompi’s contemporaneous June 25 report noted that the poster featured lyrics from V’s solo song “Scenery,” while the nature of the project remained unclear. The official announcements that followed identified TYPE 1 as a photobook. BIGHIT MUSIC/HYBE described it as a collection of V at rest, away from his busy schedule. The announcement said V took part in planning and production, including choosing the travel destination, title and photobook components. What is included in the main TYPE 1 photobook?
The main edition is a 224-page hardcover photobook. The official specification lists these included items:

The book measures 245 × 350 mm; its cover measures 865 × 350 mm. BIGHIT MUSIC/HYBE also stated that the edition was made using Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper and biodegradable soy ink. Its product notice cautioned that material properties may cause cracks, discoloration or color bleeding, and that production circumstances could change sizes or contents. How does the Magazine ver. differ?
The Magazine ver. is a separate, softcover 152-page photobook measuring 220 × 300 mm. The official announcement says it omits some chapters from the main TYPE 1 photobook, so it is not simply the same book in a smaller format.
