Its claim that the installment would put Nanao in focus was the article author’s interpretation of a teaser poem and the episode title, not an official synopsis.
Who is the overlooked character?
The headline refers to Nanao Ise. In a CBR article published December 13, 2024, George Voutiritsas argued that the then-upcoming episode “Shadows Gone” would give Nanao more attention. The episode title and a teaser poem associated with Nanao were the clues behind that reading; the sources available do not establish that the title was an official promise of a character-centered episode. The article excerpt syndicated through IMDb identifies the character and lays out the argument.

For broader context, the official BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War story synopsis describes the Wandenreich’s war against the Soul Reapers and the revelation of hidden history. That establishes the larger conflict, but does not confirm the headline’s interpretation of Nanao’s role.
Why the headline pointed to “Shadows Gone”
The CBR article contrasted the preceding episode, “Baby, Hold Your Hand 2 [Never Ending Your Dream],” with the teaser for what followed. The preceding installment centered on Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s battle with Pernida Parnkgjas and Nemu Kurotsuchi’s fatal sacrifice. Voutiritsas argued that cliffhangers and teasers overshadowed the emotional impact of those events, and read Nanao’s teaser poem and the title “Shadows Gone” as signs that the next episode would give her more attention.

That is an editorial inference from the episode’s promotion, not a character-focused synopsis quoted from the official series site. The distinction matters: the headline expressed an expectation about the upcoming installment, rather than reporting an official announcement about its focus.
