Where are the alleys, and how are they connected?
Both are fictional locations in London’s wizarding world. Diagon Alley is hidden behind the Leaky Cauldron and can be entered through a magical brick-wall mechanism. Knockturn Alley branches off Diagon Alley, so the names refer to two connected but distinct streets—not two names for the same place.
What happens when Harry reaches Knockturn Alley?
Harry ends up in Knockturn Alley by mistake while trying to travel to Diagon Alley using the Floo Network. The episode introduces the contrast between the ordinary shopping street and a place linked to darker magic.

It is distinct from the fictional London street; Universal describes shops, wand experiences, and the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts attraction on its official Diagon Alley page.
