Two separate lawsuits have brought allegations involving MrBeast’s production operations into focus: contestants in the 2024 Beast Games production and former employee Lorrayne Mavromatis, whose federal complaint was filed in April 2026. The claims concern different people and conduct, and they remain allegations—not findings that the events occurred.
What are the allegations against MrBeast?
The contestant case concerns working and safety conditions during production of Beast Games. Mavromatis’s case concerns alleged workplace harassment, discrimination, leave interference and retaliation. They are separate proceedings with different plaintiffs and defendants.

The distinction matters: claims about a show’s production are not evidence for claims in an employee’s lawsuit, or vice versa. Nor does an allegation in a complaint establish that a court has found it true.
What did Beast Games contestants allege?
The Los Angeles Times reported that contestants filed a class-action lawsuit in Los Angeles County in September 2024. The complaint alleged unreasonable, unsafe and unlawful employment conditions, including failure to pay minimum wages or overtime, denial of meal and rest breaks, and sexual harassment. It also alleged that production labor costs were misrepresented in Nevada film-incentive documents. These are claims made in the complaint, not established court findings.

Separately, reporting by the Associated Press and CBS News in November 2024 described contestants’ safety complaints about the preliminary July shoot. Those complaints included limited sustenance and insufficient medical staffing. They should be understood as concerns reported from participants, not as independent official findings.
The show was described in 2024 coverage as involving 1,000 contestants and a $5 million prize. Those details explain the scale and format of the production; they do not establish whether the complaints are accurate.

What does the former employee’s 2026 complaint say?
Mavromatis’s federal complaint, filed April 22, 2026, alleges workplace harassment and gender discrimination. It says she was not properly informed about leave rights, was expected to work during pregnancy-related leave, and was terminated less than three weeks after returning to work. The complaint also alleges retaliation and interference with rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). It states that she was informed of her termination on November 6, 2025.
These statements are allegations in a plaintiff’s complaint. The filing date and the claims it contains do not, by themselves, establish that the defendants violated the law or that a court has accepted the allegations.

How have MrBeast’s companies responded?
Beast Industries denied Mavromatis’s allegations. The Associated Press reported that the companies said Slack and WhatsApp messages, company documents and witness testimony contradicted her account. The company also pointed to a handbook receipt and an exchange in which a coworker told Mavromatis not to check messages while she was in labor, according to AP. These are the company’s stated position and cited evidence, not a judicial ruling on the complaint.
A company spokesperson told ABC News: “This clout-chasing complaint is built on deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements, and we have the receipts to prove it.” The wording is the spokesperson’s denial and advocacy statement, not an independent factual determination.

What did the 2024 company-commissioned review find?
In November 2024, the Associated Press and CBS News reported on a company-commissioned investigation that lasted nearly three months. Their account said investigators found no basis for allegations that team members had committed sexual misconduct or that the company knowingly employed people with specified histories.
The same reporting said the company dismissed five to ten employees and arranged targeted training and executive coaching related to policy violations. The reported finding was limited to the allegations and scope of that review at that time. It does not resolve the contestants’ claims or Mavromatis’s later complaint, and it should not be read as a finding that no other misconduct occurred.

What is established—and what is not?
The available reporting and complaint details establish that the contestants’ case was filed in 2024, Mavromatis filed a separate federal complaint in 2026, the companies denied her claims, and a company-commissioned review was reported in 2024. The sources cited here do not establish a court finding or a later outcome in either lawsuit. Without reliable, updated docket information, it would be inaccurate to describe either case as settled, dismissed, certified as a class, or decided.
