AEW specifically credits the Young Bucks with building its tag-team division and Kenny Omega with contributing to its first console game. Those documented roles are distinct from The Elite, the in-ring group.
Who are AEW’s executive vice presidents?
When AEW launched in 2019, its announcement named Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and Matt and Nick Jackson—the Young Bucks—as executive vice presidents alongside their in-ring roles. It identified Tony Khan as the company’s President and CEO. That is the launch-era lineup, not evidence that all four remain executives today. WarnerMedia’s launch announcement
Current AEW material labels Omega an EVP in his official biography and lists Matthew and Nicholas Jackson as “EVP / YOUNG BUCKS / THE ELITE” on its roster page. These sources establish current labels for those individuals, but they do not establish a complete list of AEW’s current executives. Cody Rhodes was a launch-era EVP; the launch announcement does not establish a current AEW position for him.
What work has AEW specifically attributed to them?
The Young Bucks: building the tag-team division
In a May 2019 article, AEW said Matt and Nick Jackson had been tasked, as EVPs, with creating the company’s tag-team division from the ground up. This is a concrete example of an operational contribution; it does not define the full scope of their responsibilities or decision-making authority. Kenny Omega: contributing to AEW’s first console game
AEW says Omega played an integral role in developing AEW: Fight Forever, the company’s first console game. Its AEW Games announcement also identifies him as an EVP and discusses the games initiative. The specific contribution is evidence of involvement in that project, not proof of authority over every part of AEW’s business or creative operations.
Does “The Elite” mean the same thing as AEW’s EVPs?
No. The Elite is an in-ring group name; EVP is an executive title held by named individuals. AEW’s roster page uses both labels for the Jacksons, while Omega’s biography identifies him as an EVP. Do not infer that every member of The Elite is an executive, or that a storyline portrayal of executives precisely reflects real backstage responsibilities.

What does the EVP title tell fans about authority?
It establishes that the named wrestlers held or are officially described as holding executive titles, and AEW’s public statements document particular contributions. It does not, by itself, show how authority is divided among executives, who approves each creative or business decision, or who has final say. The launch announcement identified Khan as President and CEO; the sources cited here do not provide a current decision-rights chart or full formal job descriptions.
AEW’s public account of the EVPs as contributors to the promotion is therefore more precise than treating the title as proof that they control the company. Their documented work includes the tag-team division for the Young Bucks and game development for Omega; broader claims about their authority should be treated as interpretation unless supported by a specific source.
