In a podcast interview reported by PerthNow on January 29, 2020, Adelaide Kane said she fell in love with actor Jacques Colimon while she was still with Joey Pauline, then left Pauline for Colimon. Kane also said she regretted how the breakup happened and took responsibility for her decision.
What Kane said about falling for Colimon
PerthNow reported that Kane discussed her relationship on the Too Tired To Be Crazy podcast. She said the turning point came when she realised she was falling in love with someone else: “I think the big, like breaking moment, was when I realised I was falling in love with someone else,” she said.

According to the report, Kane and Colimon met while filming Into the Dark in early 2019. Colimon is an actor who appeared in Netflix’s The Society. PerthNow said Kane and fashion executive Joey Pauline had dated from May 2017 to June 2019 and lived together.
How she described the breakup
Kane said she had asked Pauline for changes and was waiting to see whether things would improve before they took the next step in their relationship. She described that period this way: “I think that when it (her relationship with Pauline) started was when I realised I wasn’t fighting for the things I needed any more … I had asked for some changes and they weren’t happening … I was sort of biding my time to see if those things would change before we took the next step in our relationship.”

She said meeting Colimon caught her off guard, but she did not present that as an excuse for leaving Pauline. “I left my last partner for this person,” she said, adding that she took “full responsibility” for falling in love with someone else and leaving. Kane also said she regretted how the relationship with Pauline ended and wished him the best.
Why the interview was described as unusually candid
PerthNow characterized the podcast conversation as unusually candid. Kane acknowledged that discussing her personal relationships was unfamiliar to her, saying, “Oh god, you caught me here, I’ve never talked about my relationships ever.” That supports describing this interview as a notable disclosure, but does not establish that she had never made any public comment about relationships before it.

What the reports establish about her relationship status
The interview is a historical account of what Kane said in 2020, not confirmation of her current relationship status. A PerthNow follow-up published February 15, 2021, said Kane and Colimon had not confirmed a split at that point. It noted that Colimon had not appeared on her social media in over a year; that observation alone does not prove they had separated.
Another PerthNow report, dated April 29, 2021, said Kane had debuted a relationship with Dutch model Marthe Woertman. That report does not establish Kane’s current status with either Colimon or Woertman.
