In April 2024, Westfield Booragoon and Westfield Carousel in Perth hosted an immersive Star Wars experience, a visual tour of Batuu, the fictional planet at the edge of the Star Wars galaxy, during the school holidays. The Carousel activation ran from 8 to 14 April 2024. This page is an archive record of that event, not a current listing, and the activation has ended.
What the Perth activation was
The WA component of the campaign was built around a single attraction: an immersive visual tour of Batuu, the Galaxy’s Edge setting from the Star Wars universe. Visitors walked through the Batuu-themed space in the centre. The Westfield and Disney campaign was promoted as a way for families to spend part of the April school holidays inside a Star Wars setting without travelling to a theme park.
The reporting that covered the Perth stop, published by PerthNow on 3 April 2024, is the most detailed local account available. It names only the two centres above, so readers should not assume the same activities ran at every Westfield site in the state.
Where and when it ran
The two WA centres and their reported dates are set out below. Where a detail was not reported, the cell says so rather than estimating it.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Centre | Reported experience | Reported dates | Source |

| Westfield Carousel | Immersive Batuu visual tour | 8 to 14 April 2024 | PerthNow, 3 April 2024 |
Session times, booking rules, and daily opening hours were not stated in the reporting, so they cannot be reconstructed here. Because the event has ended, that information is most useful as a historical gap rather than a planning detail.
Spark Stations and the wider campaign
Alongside the Batuu tour, the campaign used Spark Stations at Westfield destinations. PerthNow reported that these offered Star Wars-inspired face painting, arts and crafts, and Wookie Cookie decorating. The reporting does not list which centres had Spark Stations, so the WA centre-by-centre picture for these activities is not established.

The national campaign announcement, reproduced by MKAU Gaming on 8 April 2024, also described lightsaber training at selected centres and a Westfield-exclusive Batuu experience. Neither was tied to a specific WA centre in the coverage reviewed, so readers should not assume they were offered in Perth.
The prize draw
The campaign included a prize draw for one of ten family trips to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort in California. The draw is reported in the PerthNow and MKAU coverage. Entry rules, closing dates, and the full terms were not reproduced in either article, so the eligibility conditions for this prize cannot be confirmed from these sources. Anyone researching it should check the original Westfield or Disney terms as they were published in 2024.

What organisers said
Comedian and Star Wars fan Joel Creasey, quoted by PerthNow, said that the fondness for the films that began his interest had pushed him into his career and that he was pleased to celebrate with other fans. The quote is paraphrased here.
MKAU Gaming reproduced two statements from the campaign. Westfield’s general manager of marketing and community, Jacqui Waine, described the campaign as bringing a slice of the Star Wars universe to Westfield destinations under the “Spark Excitement” banner. Tim Everett, vice president and general manager of consumer products for The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, said the collaboration with Westfield would continue through 2024.
