Welcome to Eden is a Spanish drama with suspense and science-fiction framing about young adults invited to a party on a remote island, where the promised paradise hides dangerous secrets and entrapment. Netflix currently lists two seasons on its title page. The influencer angle is part of the story, but the invitees are not all identified as influencers.
What is Welcome to Eden about?
The group believes it is attending a festival on a mysterious island sponsored by a drink company. The gathering initially looks like an exclusive escape; the island’s secrets and lack of an easy way out turn it into a suspense story about control, loyalty, and survival.
The setup puts curated, aspirational identity beside a supposedly perfect getaway that becomes confining. That contrast is an interpretation of the premise, rather than a claim about influencers or social media in real life. Netflix describes the series as a Spanish drama and labels it with science-fiction and suspense elements on its official title page.

Is the series about influencers?
Influencer culture is represented through África, who is also known online as Afrilux. Netflix Tudum describes her as a megastar and social-media influencer. That does not mean every person invited to the island is an influencer: Netflix’s cast feature describes the broader group as young adults who believe they are going to a festival.
For viewers drawn to the influencer premise, the more precise hook is the collision between one high-profile online persona and a larger group pulled into the island’s mystery.

How many seasons are there?
Netflix’s official title page lists two seasons. It also lists the series as TV-MA; ratings and page details can vary by territory or change over time. The page names Amaia Aberasturi, Berta Castañé, and Begoña Vargas among the stars.
When did season 2 come out?
Netflix announced that season two would premiere worldwide on 21 April 2023. Its release announcement describes new arrivals, a rebellion, and Astrid’s plans for New Eden. Netflix’s synopsis says: “With new threats on the island and no way out, the rebellion unleashes an intense battle for freedom as Astrid (Amaia Salamanca) carries out her plans for New Eden.”

For season two, Netflix credits Joaquín Górriz and Guillermo López as writers, Denis Rovira and Juanma Pachón as directors, and Brutal Media as producer. The announcement names Carlos Torres, Nona Sobo, and Lucía Guerrero among the cast additions.

When Netflix announced the season-two renewal on 25 May 2022, it reported that season one had accumulated 116,970,000 hours viewed since its premiere and had been in the Top 10 in 68 countries. Those are figures Netflix reported at the time of the renewal announcement, not current viewing totals or rankings.

Is Welcome to Eden still on Netflix, and is there a third season?
Netflix’s title page is the official platform listing and currently shows two seasons, but the sources available do not establish country-by-country access or confirm the series’ formal status beyond season two. Check the Netflix catalogue for your region for current availability; the two-season listing alone does not establish whether a third season has been renewed or the show has been cancelled.
