Attack on Titan may keep appearing in films, concerts and game collaborations, but producer Tetsuya Kinoshita’s “we plan to continue” comment is not confirmation of another anime season. The main anime story reached its finale in 2023; the newer announcements concern screenings and music-related activity.
What did the producer mean by “we plan to continue”?
At the Los Angeles stop of the Beyond the Walls concert world tour, producer Tetsuya Kinoshita said the team planned to continue creating “films like [The Last Attack], concerts like this one, and various game collaborations moving forward,” according to GamesRadar.

That is an intention to keep the franchise active across several formats, not a release slate. The quote does not announce a new season, a sequel series, or additional episodes continuing Eren’s story. GamesRadar’s report said other future projects had not been confirmed when it was published.
Is Attack on Titan getting a new season?
No new season is confirmed by the announcements cited here. The anime’s story concluded in 2023 with the two Final Chapters specials. Director Yuichiro Hayashi described the anime as “finally heading toward its finale” in official staff comments published November 1, 2023. On that same page, creator Hajime Isayama thanked viewers for following the anime over its ten years and said he had revised a small part of the ending draft at his request. The distinction is between continuing the franchise and continuing the anime’s central story. Kinoshita named films, concerts and game collaborations; none of those categories, by itself, establishes that new narrative episodes are in production.
Is The Last Attack a sequel?
No. The Last Attack brings the two Final Chapters specials together as a feature film; it is a presentation of the anime’s conclusion, not a sequel. GamesRadar reported that the film updated the sound and visuals and added a post-credits scene. Those changes do not make it a continuation of the story. See GamesRadar’s account of Kinoshita’s comments and the film.
