The clearest published film-watch identifications for Al Pacino are a Bvlgari Diagono chronograph in Heat and a TAG Heuer Monaco in 88 Minutes. The watch Tony Montana wears in Scarface is less certain: the often-suggested Omega La Magique is a candidate, not a confirmed match. These are attributions by watch publications and a retailer, not production-certified costume records.

Scarface: why the Omega identification remains uncertain
Tony Montana’s watch is memorable for its gold tone and transparent-looking dial, but its precise maker and model have not been settled by the cited sources. The Omega La Magique is often proposed because it offers a plausible visual association. That resemblance is not enough to establish that it was the watch used in the film.
Time+Tide author Nick Gould points to differences in the visible watch, including its crown at 3 o’clock and dial details, and concludes: “This watch I can’t positively attribute to a maker.” Coronet likewise calls the La Magique connection speculative and notes differences between the model’s case and bracelet and the watch on screen. The responsible answer to “Which watch did Tony Montana wear?” is therefore that the exact watch remains unidentified in these accounts.
Coronet’s 2022 article reports that the Omega La Magique was released in 1982 and that 261 examples of reference BA 191.8523 Z were produced. It also reported auction and online sale prices of upwards of $10,000, with some examples above $20,000. Heat: Bvlgari Diagono on Vincent Hanna
Time+Tide identifies a Bvlgari Diagono chronograph on Pacino’s detective Vincent Hanna, including a clear view during the film’s major shootout. WatchReel names the more specific reference as the Bvlgari Diagono CH35S and describes it as a 35 mm quartz chronograph with an inverted panda dial. That reference is a useful published identification, but it remains a specialist visual attribution rather than a confirmed production record. 88 Minutes: a modern TAG Heuer Monaco
Time+Tide identifies a modern TAG Heuer Monaco chronograph on Pacino’s character, a retired forensic psychiatrist. Its description notes a 12-hour chronograph and a stainless-steel linked bracelet. This is a modern Monaco attribution; it should not be confused with the older Monaco associated with Steve McQueen in Le Mans. Time+Tide’s identification.

Righteous Kill: a less-established Tutima report
A May 3, 2026 journal entry from Japanese authorized retailer CONTÉVANOU identifies a Tutima F2 Chronograph in Righteous Kill. The entry draws attention to the watch in a scene, but the identification comes from a retailer that carries Tutima and is not independently corroborated by the other cited sources. Why these identifications are not all equally certain
Watch publications typically identify a model by comparing visible details in a film with known watches. That can support a plausible attribution, but it is not the same as documentation from a costume department, prop master, studio, or production inventory. The cited accounts do not provide that kind of primary production confirmation. The distinction matters most when a watch is difficult to see clearly or when several models share similar features.

Watch-ID reports two Jaeger-LeCoultre watches at public appearances in 2014: a Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph at a Venice Film Festival press conference on September 4, and a Master Ultra Thin Réserve de Marche at a red-carpet appearance on August 30.
