What Chris Martin said about Ozzy Osbourne
Before the song, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin dedicated the show to Osbourne and said: “We’d like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent, and character-full gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne. We send our love to his family.”
Coldplay then performed a stripped-down rendition of “Changes.” Martin closed the tribute by saying: “Ozzy, we love you, wherever you’re going.” Rolling Stone UK’s report documents the dedication and the performance.

- The Ultimate Collection is curated in conjunction with the band, the 31-track collection features the band’s classic songs including Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs, N.I.B. and The Wizard as well as choice cuts from their classic albums and is the definitive accompaniment for all Sabbath fans as well as those with a love of hard rock.
Which song Coldplay covered
“Changes” is a Black Sabbath ballad from the band’s 1972 album Vol. 4. The album is the source of the original song; the Nashville tribute was a live Coldplay performance, not a track from that record. Louder’s coverage of Vol. 4 identifies the song and its album context.
