His official YouTube channel later posted a video titled “Burna Boy – Grammy Performance 2024.”
When and where Burna Boy performed
The performance took place on February 4, 2024, during the 66th Annual Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy’s event announcement included Burna Boy among that year’s performers.
The three-song set, in order
- “On Form”
- “City Boys”
- “Sittin’ On Top of the World”
The Recording Academy’s account of the performance and the Associated Press’s February 4 event coverage report the same sequence. The set opened with “On Form” and ended with “Sittin’ On Top of the World.”
How the performance opened
According to the Recording Academy, the staging used backgrounds inspired by the streets of Lagos. Burna Boy began surrounded by drummers and dancers in colorful traditional clothes as he performed “On Form.” That description is the Academy’s account of the staging, rather than a first-hand account here.
