Sisters Angelli and Rebeca grow up in different worlds; when Rebeca discovers the truth about her origins, the reunion becomes a reckoning driven by envy and revenge.
What is Vivir de amor about?
Rebeca and Angelli are separated as children. Angelli grows up with their mother, Elena, amid the relative comfort of a family restaurant. Rebeca is raised in a poor household and faces material hardship. About twenty years later, Rebeca learns where she came from and how differently Angelli lived. She chooses revenge, turning the sisters’ shared origins into the source of a painful rivalry.
The contrast between the sisters is the telenovela’s central engine: one family history, divided by radically different circumstances. Envy and revenge complicate the questions of love and belonging at the heart of their reunion. TelevisaUnivision’s production announcement described the premise as one “en la que la envidia es el único obstáculo para Vivir de amor”; that line is the company’s promotional framing.
