Where did the performers appear?
The show was presented from the Opry House, but not every announced artist was there in person. The Opry listing said Luke Combs, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, and Brad Paisley would appear from the Ryman Auditorium. It also mentioned VIP seating that included a commemorative poster.
Why did the Opry mark 100 years?
The centennial marked the Opry’s first broadcast, on November 28, 1925. Nashville station WSM aired a performance by fiddler Uncle Jimmy Thompson. According to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the public response led program director George D. Hay to develop a weekly barn dance.

In an August 20, 2025 announcement about the museum’s Opry centennial exhibition, CEO Kyle Young described the show’s longer influence: “The Opry’s status as America’s leading country music radio show, from the 1940s into the 1960s, made possible Nashville’s emergence as the undisputed center of the country music industry.” The museum’s exhibition announcement provides the historical context and quotation.
Was this the Opry’s November anniversary-night broadcast?
No. The March 19 program was the NBC and Peacock television special. It should not be confused with the Opry’s separate November 28, 2025 anniversary-night broadcast. A song or set list reported for that later event does not establish what Gill performed in the March special.
