It is an edited presentation, not evidence that the leaders actually sang the song.
What happens in the video?
Scroll’s April 30, 2019 report names Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Theresa May and Xi Jinping among the leaders shown appearing to sing “Imagine.” The report also describes other leaders, but its available text does not independently confirm that Justin Trudeau appears.

The video opens with the on-screen message, “What you are about to see is not real,” followed by “But it can be.” Those words are presented as text in the video, not as a statement attributed to a named person.
Who made it, and how was it edited?
Scroll attributes a “video dialogue replacement procedure” to Canny AI, which the report describes as a Tel Aviv start-up. It does not name an individual creator or director, explain the specific technical method, or establish whether AI was used in producing each scene. The report characterizes the manipulation as effective and frightening; that is its editorial framing, not a measured finding.

What the report does not establish
Scroll does not identify the source footage or music recording, or say what permissions or licensing applied. Its report also does not verify the provenance of the footage independently. The 2019 article cannot establish whether Canny AI currently offers a related service.
