Sandy sings while Richard accompanies her on piano, targeting the president’s eating and tweeting habits, immigration policy and the collusion scandal, according to Scroll.in’s August 25, 2018, feature.
What the parody is about
Scroll.in described the video as a spoof of the musical’s song that mocks the US president. Its satirical focus is Donald Trump, with the article identifying his eating and tweeting habits, immigration policy and the collusion scandal as subjects.
The feature’s deck quotes one line: “Laughing at voters who think he’s a king, these are a few of Trump’s favourite things.” That is an excerpt, not a complete lyric transcript. The article does not provide the full lyrics.
Who made the video
Sandy Riccardi performs the song, and Richard Riccardi accompanies her on piano. Scroll.in reported that the couple posted the video on their Facebook page. The feature does not supply an independently retrieved playable video or a full transcript, so further musical details and additional jokes cannot be confirmed from its account.

The song behind the spoof
“Favourite Things” is from The Sound of Music. Scroll.in credits the original song to lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II and composer Richard Rodgers. The parody redirects that familiar song toward political satire rather than offering a complete retelling of the original.

The feature was published on August 25, 2018. Its references to Trump and the collusion scandal describe the video’s political framing at that time; they should not be read as a current account of events. Scroll.in’s report identifies the parody’s creators, performance setup and targets, but does not establish a broader reception or provide a complete transcription. Read Scroll.in’s feature.
