Victoria’s Secret models do not form one unchanged category. A person may appear in a campaign, walk a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway, or hold the formal “Angel” designation—and those are different records. The dated examples below compare recognizable models across documented brand appearances without treating every runway or campaign credit as proof of current Angel status.
Each photo should carry its own date and setting. A runway image, campaign portrait and public-appearance photograph are not interchangeable evidence of a model’s age, health or career.
How to read a “then and now” comparison
- Campaign: advertising or look-book work for a named collection.
- Runway: inclusion in a Victoria’s Secret fashion-show production or its official media materials.
- Angel: the brand’s formal ambassador designation, which is not established merely by a runway or campaign appearance.
The 2025 official runway media kit lists talent in sections including “First Light” and “Bombshell.” Victoria’s Secret & Co.’s July 25, 2024 announcement documents a separate Dream campaign. Those records establish participation at those dates; they do not describe each model’s entire present-day career.

| Model | Earlier documented record | Recent documented record | What the record proves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adriana Lima |

|
AP described Lima as a long-time Victoria’s Secret Angel. The 2023 appearance shows a later public connection, not a new Angel contract. |
| Alessandra Ambrosio |

The media kit verifies inclusion in that runway material; it does not by itself establish current Angel status or broader career activity. |
| Behati Prinsloo |

The 2024 announcement is a campaign record, while the 2025 media kit is a runway record. Neither document alone proves a current formal Angel role. |
| Candice Swanepoel |

These are two separate, dated brand records: campaign participation in 2024 and runway-media-kit inclusion in 2025. |
| Joan Smalls |

The 2025 document establishes runway-media-kit inclusion, not a general statement about her current work or Angel designation. |
| Gigi Hadid |

The media kit records her as runway talent for that production. |
What changed between the eras
The brand’s presentation changed substantially around the 2023 event. AP reported that the September 2023 show followed a four-year hiatus and that Victoria’s Secret had replaced its supermodel “Angels” with a group of ten diverse women who advised the brand and promoted it on social media. That shift is why a photo comparison should distinguish a historical Angel-era image from later runway or campaign work.
At the 2023 event, Lima told AP: “My motive to be here is that I have girls,” adding that Victoria’s Secret and other brands were embracing women in different stages. Her comment is a personal explanation of that appearance, not evidence that every model in a later cast held the Angel title.

Brand context behind the visual shift
Euromonitor International estimated that Victoria’s Secret held 18.7% of the U.S. lingerie market in 2022, compared with 31.2% in 2017, as reported by The Associated Press in 2023. Those figures measure brand market share, not the popularity or value of individual models.
The 2025 runway media kit includes returning names such as Jasmine Tookes, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Joan Smalls, Barbara Palvin, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel in “First Light,” while “Bombshell” includes Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Devyn Garcia, Paloma Elsesser and Angel Reese, among others. A cast list is evidence of participation in that production, not a complete list of current Angels.

- Put the exact year, month when known, and setting—campaign, runway, editorial or public appearance—beside every image.
- Name the photographer, agency or archive when the license requires it.
- Confirm that a press-room image may be reused in your publication; availability for viewing or download does not automatically establish reuse permission for every publisher.
- Do not infer cosmetic procedures, health, age-related condition or private-life facts from appearance.
- Do not present a current personal or editorial photograph as a Victoria’s Secret image unless the source identifies that connection.
What these photos can—and cannot—show
A carefully captioned set can show changing styling, casting and brand presentation over time. It cannot, from appearance alone, establish a model’s health, private life, exact age, contractual status or whether she remains an Angel. Those claims require separate, dated documentation.
