In March 2024, Australian TikToker Veruca Salt shared a video of herself packing away her six-week-old son Cash’s bedroom while preparing to move. In the clip, as reported by PerthNow, she said she was going to show his room before taking it apart and pointed to the clothes he was meant to grow into.

Salt’s video showed her packing up her home ahead of a move and preparing to dismantle Cash’s room. PerthNow reproduced her words: “I’m just packing up my house to move and I’m going to show you my baby’s room because I’m about to tear it apart.” She also said of the clothing in the room, “The clothes he was supposed to grow into…”
The update concerned the room and the move. Salt did not give a new explanation for Cash’s death in the remarks quoted in the report.
What had happened before the video
PerthNow reported that Cash died in his sleep on February 5, 2024, when he was six weeks old. In a statement quoted by the publication on February 7, Salt said: “My baby died in his sleep on Monday morning. I don’t know what happened. He is having an autopsy this week but it is unlikely that I’ll ever have an answer.”

PerthNow’s reporting does not provide a confirmed cause of death or a final autopsy result. It would be inaccurate to infer one from the reports.
Later in February, Salt said Cash was back in his room for a few days before his funeral. PerthNow quoted her writing: “I know ur worried about me but my baby is back in his room for a few days before his funeral and I’ll be spending time with him instead of being online, thank u,”

Later update: Salt’s twins
In a separate development, PerthNow reported on September 29, 2026, that Salt had given birth to twins named Storm and Zion on September 26. The report said the newborns were undergoing treatment at the time it was published; that describes their situation on that date, not necessarily their condition now. This later news is distinct from Salt’s March 2024 video about packing Cash’s room.
