Who is the villain in Venom: The Last Dance?
Knull is the major threat behind the events of the film. Netflix’s film guide says he sends a Xenophage to track Eddie Brock, Venom, and the Codex, while the organization Imperium also hunts the pair. Venom: The Last Dance is the 2024 film that concludes Sony’s Venom trilogy. Sony lists Kelly Marcel as director and screenwriter, based on a story by Tom Hardy and Marcel; its synopsis says Eddie and Venom face a decision that will bring their story to a close. Sony Pictures’ official film listing
What Kelly Marcel said about Knull’s future

Those remarks establish that Marcel viewed Knull as a character with story potential beyond this film. They do not identify a next project or say that his story will continue in a Spider-Man movie.
Why fans connect Knull to Spider-Man
The symbiote fragment left in the MCU
Spider-Man: No Way Home left a small piece of Venom’s symbiote in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Last Dance revisits the circumstances of Eddie’s multiverse trip, creating a possible narrative bridge between the Venom films and the MCU. But Venom does not meet Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in The Last Dance, and coverage describes the film’s other MCU connection as limited. The comics’ King in Black precedent
In Marvel Comics, Knull is tied to the symbiote origin myth, and the King in Black event brings Spider-Man together with the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange, and the Avengers against Knull’s invasion. That story gives fans a recognizable model for a large crossover. It is comics continuity, however—not evidence that the films will adapt King in Black or bring those characters together on screen. No relevant reviewed source confirms that Knull, Venom, or Eddie Brock will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Marcel’s comments point to possible Knull storytelling in general, but do not name the film, Tom Holland, or Tom Hardy as participants in a crossover. Until an attributable official announcement says otherwise, claims about Knull or Venom appearing in the next Spider-Man film are speculation—not a confirmed leak.

- Shown or stated about the film: Knull is behind the Xenophage threat, and The Last Dance concludes Sony’s Venom trilogy.
- Creator comment: Marcel said the film begins Knull’s on-screen story, without specifying where it continues.
- Possible connective tissue: the MCU symbiote fragment and the comics’ King in Black crossover make a Spider-Man connection imaginable.
- Not confirmed: a Knull, Venom, or Eddie Brock role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
